2015 Projects



Road Construction - Other Jurisdiction (City, State and Village)

Marathon Road Bridge
Marathon Road Bridge is in the process of replacement of the entire bridge. The bridge will be closed until some time in November. Questions may be directed to Village of Columbiaville 810-793-4411.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will perform maintenance on several bridges along I-69 in Lapeer County. The estimated starting date is Monday September 14, 2015 and the estimated completion date is the end of October. The following bridges will have lane restrictions in place:
I-69 over Summers Road
I-69 over GTW Railroad
I-69 over Clark Road
Five Lakes Road over I-69
Lake George Road over I-69
Local traffic will be maintained with detours and temporary signals, including:
-Summers Road will be closed under I-69 and detoured via Summers Road, Hunters Creek Road, Blacks Corners Road, and Newark Road back to Summers Road.
-Clark Road, Five Lakes Road, and Lake George Road will all have one lane open under I-69 with a temporary signal.
*UPDATE October 26: MDOT hopes to have the work done on the bridges by mid November.


KWA Water Pipeline Construction

-Cade Road - Hull Road to Clear Lake Road
-Clear Lake Road - Cade Road to Lake Pleasant
-Lake Pleasant Road - Clear Lake Road to Kings Mill Road
-Kings Mill Road - Lake Pleasant Road to Scholtz Road

-Norway Lake Road - Scholtz Road to Flint River Road
-Klam Road - Peters Road to Stanley
-Stanley Road - Klam through Genesee County
-Scholtz - Kings Mill to Norway Lake

Construction began Wednesday April 22, 2015 on the KWA water pipeline. The construction began at Jefferson Road and continues west; As well as at Cade Road and continues West. Expect detours and road closures as crews move through the areas. Crews are currently at Wier/Norway Lake and Clear Lake/Black Corners (11/04/2015)
